Works are progressing rapidly. All of the floors are now ready for the final finishes with the completion of the underfloor heating circuits on the ground floor. The bathrooms on the first and second floors are waterproofed and ready for the installation of the tiles - traditional Portuguese lioz stone on the floors and the walls of the principal bathrooms and handmade Portuguese ceramic wall tiles in the smaller en-suite bathrooms.
The electricians continue to install cabling on all floors and the plumber is working on the various connections for heating and water services. False ceilings are being installed to house / hide the Air Conditioning service and the rooms are taking their final shape. The plasterer starts work on the ground floor this week with the hope that all of the major plastering works will be completed by end of year. The structural supports and enclosures for the "pocket" sliding doors on all the garden terraces are being completed in preparation for installing the doors early in the new year if the delivery schedule goes according to plan.
In the garage, the floor has been prepared for the final layers of screed and concrete which will be done once the connections to mains drainage services have been completed. Great progress being made on all fronts.
